Is the iPhone 6 one of the most unbreakable phones ever made?
When the new iPhones 6’s were launched one of the most viral videos to hit the web was an excited fan removing their iPhone 6 Plus from the box only to drop it on the ground. The phone survived and then the tests began- how strong is the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus?
Apple has boasted that their latest iPhone is the biggest, most powerful and smartest phone to date and independent tests are now also proving how strong it really is.
Both the iPhones were put up to a series of tests which included being thrown onto a wooden table, being dropped on the ground and being submerged in water for 10 seconds.
The test results found that the iPhones failed to break from a 4ft drop and even after being dropped in water, the Phones kept working. Amazing!
SquareTrade, who conduct their own Breakability testing, rated the iPhone 6 as a 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus as a 5- with the lower numbers resulting in the least risk.
In terms of competition, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One are both rated a 6.5. Apple’s own 5S is also rated 6.
So is the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus the most unbreakable ever? It definitely appears to be so.
