Prime Responds To Acquisition Talks With Apple

The CEO of PrimeSense (Inon Beracha) released the following statement recently: “We can’t comment on what any of our partners, customers or potential customers are doing and we’re not commenting on rumors.”

One report shows that Apple may have tried to buy Waze, and is definitely closely looking at another Israeli startup.

Calcalist, an Israeli publication, reports that Apple is in talks to acquire PrimeSense, a company that develops 3D sensors, at a valuation between $280 million and $300 million. PrimeSense technology has been used in consumer tech products like the original Kinectfrom Microsoft.

A PrimeSense representative said that the company would release a further statement denying the report.

Apple did not immediately respond or comment.
