Hacker Scrapes Facebook Phone Numbers
A hacker has recently utilize a piece of software called a scraper to access potentially millions of Facebook accounts and find their phone numbers.
Facebook is saying that your account itself is not in jeopardy and only public information was accessed.
What this means is that the hacker did not actually “hack” into any accounts, rather he used an automated tool to look at your profile and find your phone number should you have it listed.
It’s assumed that the hacker will now resell these phone numbers to phone marketing companies under a different name.
