Have you ever imagined a car made entirely of lego that you can actually drive around in? Well, imagine no more, because it is here…..

The 500,000 piece lego car is completely drivable and runs on air.

The inventors of the Lego car are Australian entrepreneur, Steve Sammartino and Romanian technology whizz, Raul Oaida.

The car can reach the top speed of 18 miles per hour and was built in Romania but was driven around on the streets of Melbourne, Australia.

“We were scared of a Lego explosion so we drove it slowly,” the inventors said on their site.

The engine is also made of Lego, it has four orbital engines and a total of 256 pistons, only the tires and some load bearing elements are not made of Lego.

The project was crowd-funded through Twitter back in 2012 and the duo received investments anywhere from $500 to $1000 from around 40 people.

Back in 2011, the team also launched a Lego Shuttle in Germany which could reach an altitude of 35,000 meters.
