Google Fights Spying Gag Order

Just recently Google was asked to keep their lips sealed as to how many users data was being asked for by the U.S. government.

Google has since rejected that Gag order and is fighting back.

The government is trying to lump national security threats with terrorist and criminal threats and Google isn’t  happy.

“Lumping national security requests together with criminal requests—as some companies have been permitted to do—would be a backward step for our users,” explained a public statement following the petition.

Will Google be able to keep their mouths shut or will they keep disclosing what the Government is asking for?

Many hope that Google will tell the truth as to how many of us are being spyed on.
