Planes just got a whole lot more tech savvy with Southwest introducing Apple’s Beats Music Streaming Service.

Despite constant rumours that Beats Music streaming service was a dead art, Apple continues spreading their music seed into other ventures, the latest being Southwest Airlines.

Customers on board planes equipped with Wi-Fi will now have the ability to access the streaming service for free as of November 3.

To make your own custom playlist and to listen to tracks, users need to have either an iOS or Android device with the Beats app installed. Those using laptops can also access the service through their web browser.

The move by Apple is an obvious one, get potential customers hooked onto the Beats’ service to create more users and more buyers. Whether it takes off beyond the runway however, remains to be seen.
